This year’s BYU Education Week will be held on August 17–21, 2026, on the BYU campus. As in the case every year, participants will be able to choose from hundreds of different classes that cover a variety of subjects, including education, religion, marriage and family, finance, health, personal development, family history, communication, and so much more.
Classes are held throughout the day and last 55 minutes and are first-come, first-served. They are designed for adults and youth ages 14 and older, with the goal of strengthening their faith, expanding their knowledge, and connecting with each other.
Outside of classroom instruction, the week will feature a keynote address by Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who will deliver this year’s Tuesday devotional on August 18 at 11:10 a.m. in the Marriott Center.
This year’s event will also feature two performances of Guys & Dolls on Monday and Tuesday, produced and staged at the SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre, as well as two performances of AMERICA 250 by the Millennial Choirs & Orchestras, held at the BYU Marriott Center on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
To help participants navigate the event, the BYU Continuing Education mobile app will be available, which includes access to the Education Week Guide, allowing them to view classes and instructors, build their own schedules, and mark their favorite sessions.
For many attendees, the impact of Education Week extends beyond the days they spend on BYU Campus. Past participants have shared how the event has strengthened their faith, given them new perspectives, and provided them with opportunities to meet new people. Here is what a few of them had to say:
“Education Week is always a highlight of the summer. Generally, the presenters are interesting and prepared providing great insights on a variety of topics along with including wonderful Gospel principles in their presentations even when the topic is more secular.”
